Merino wool comes from the Spanish Merino sheep, which is the most common sheep breed in the world. Merino sheep are known for their fine wool, which is extra soft and much thinner than regular sheep's wool.
Merino wool is both temperature-regulating, breathable, and sweat-absorbing - and can thus keep you warm when it's cold and vice versa.
Especially during transitional periods and particularly in winter in Denmark, merino wool is truly wonderful, as it feels soft against the skin and not scratchy, as ordinary wool often does.
Merino wool is typically used for underwear/sports underwear and baby clothes - but sweaters, cardigans, and other knitted styles for women are also wonderfully luxurious in merino wool.
