Lyocell is made from regenerated fibers, which have the same properties as viscose, but the production process is far more environmentally friendly. Like viscose, Lyocell is made from wood that is chemically dissolved and turned into very thin fibers, which can be spun into yarn and then woven into fabric.

Clothes made of Lyocell can be machine washed - generally at 40 degrees. Check the instructions on the garment's label before washing, as Lyocell may be blended with another fabric or accessory, which makes the washing instructions different from 100% Lyocell.

Lyocell has a silky-lustrous - and very soft and smooth surface. The fabric does not wrinkle easily and is easy to iron.
