The female body is as diverse and unique as we are as individuals. And sometimes it can be difficult to find the perfect dress among all the tempting colors and patterns.
It's a great help if you know which dress shape suits your body type. This helps determine whether you feel best in, for example, tight-fitting dresses, full-length or midi dresses, or A-line dresses.

Hourglass
If you have a narrow waist, large bust and bottom, you can benefit from choosing a dress that is fitted at the top and has a full skirt. All lengths are good. You can also easily choose very tight-fitting dresses, as your figure has good balance.
If you choose a skirt, look for a pencil skirt that will emphasize your hips - or an A-line skirt and combine it with a tight top to highlight your waist.
Pear Shape
If you have wider hips than shoulders and a small bust, go for wrap dresses and dresses with more "volume" at the top - e.g., with a focus on the sleeves - to highlight your upper body and blur your hips. The dress should be fitted at the waist and have a full skirt. You can easily wear all lengths, but be careful with the shortest ones.
If you choose a skirt, the A-line shape will be perfect, so it's fitted around the waist and flares out at the bottom.
Apple Shape
If you have equally wide hips and shoulders and a full stomach, look for dresses with darts under the bust to accentuate your upper body and camouflage your stomach. Dresses that are fitted across the shoulders and fall loosely are also good. All lengths suit you well, but avoid those that end mid-thigh.
If you choose a skirt, go for a straight up and down style - e.g., wrap skirts.
Column Shape
If your shoulders and hips are the same width and you have almost no waist, you will love the wrap dress, as it creates a bit of an illusion and gives you a waist and thus a good balance in your figure. Dresses with darts just below the bust and a full skirt will also do wonders for you. You are the lucky type who can wear all lengths.
If you choose a skirt, go for an A-line or a cut with pleats and ruffles to add volume to your hips.
Inverted Triangle Shape
If you have narrower hips than shoulders, it's a good idea to look for dresses with short sleeves, V-necklines, or details at the waist, so the wide shoulders appear more balanced with the hips. Empire waists with darts under the bust are also good, as well as dresses with full skirts that create volume around the hips.
If you choose a skirt, go for an A-line or ruffles and pleats. Here you can go all out and easily handle a lot of attention.
