Welcome to Önling

We are proud to welcome the new Danish brand, Önling (:yndling) to our shop!
Önling is a sustainable Danish designer brand, created by the woman behind Rosemunde, Katrine Hannibal.
Önling offers beautiful, flattering and timeless favourite clothes of the best quality, manufactured and processed with care - and with a focus on fit and comfort. Önling's collections will include feminine styles that can be easily dressed up and down - and are always comfortable to wear.
Önling offers sustainable clothing for your wardrobe that won't go out of style tomorrow. Önling carefully selects textiles and ensures that they are processed with gentleness and care. The quality and design are thought through to the smallest detail, so your Önling clothes will hardly ever hang unused.
Sustainability and the best materials
Önling believes that conscious material choices and high production standards make a difference for our shared planet. The vision is to create dresses, trousers, tops, and cardigans that you want to wear again and again. And you'll only do that if they are comfortable to wear and continue to look good.
The materials include modal, Tencel, wool, bamboo, and organic cotton, which are very gentle on the environment in both extraction and production. Even the packaging and hangtags are made from recycled paper.

Modal
Modal is primarily made from beech and eucalyptus, and its surface is most similar to silk - modal is simply more durable. Modal doesn't shrink, retains its colour, and is comfortable to move in. If a piece of clothing is produced in modal rather than, for example, cotton, far less water and pesticides are used. And when the clothing is eventually discarded in the future, it decomposes through natural composting.
Tencel
Tencel is the most sustainable textile available today. Tencel is made from wood scraps from European beech trees and South African eucalyptus trees. The wood is FSC-certified and comes exclusively from natural forest thinning and from residues of the timber industry. Tencel dyeing is done with recycled water. Tencel is a super soft material with an antibacterial effect, so you don't need to wash it very often.
Wool
Wool requires little processing, and very little CO2 is emitted during production. Energy consumption is very low compared to a sweater made of another material. An acrylic sweater requires 3.8 times as much energy to produce - and a polyester sweater requires 2.7 times more. Önling uses natural dyes that hold up beautifully and carefully selects the wool so that it is soft and comfortable to wear. Wool is self-cleaning and only needs to be washed rarely, so you can often just hang your wool clothing out in humid weather if you want to freshen it up.
