Find the dress that suits your figure
This spring offers dresses in all colours and shapes. Most with a loving greeting from the 60s and 70s in the form of simple cuts and beautiful prints.
If you want to find a dress that you not only think is beautiful - but also suits you very well, here are a few tips to help you along the way:
Do you have full hips?
Emphasise the waist. Choose either a dress with a belt at the waist - possibly a shirt dress or an empire cut dress or an A-line. These types of dresses conceal the stomach and hips if they have a good drape. Shift focus to the chest by choosing a wide and/or deep neckline.
Are you not very tall?
Choose short dresses or tunics - or full-length dresses. Dresses that go just to the knee will make you look shorter.
Do you have an hourglass figure?
Lucky woman! :) You can wear most things and can advantageously highlight your figure.
If you feel very wide around the bottom, shift focus to the waist or neckline, which can be asymmetrical, wrap-around, or a deep V-neck.
Are you very tall and slim?
Most dresses look great on you. You can especially go all out with dresses that "make some noise" - e.g. with colourful prints or many details, ruffles, or draperies. Be careful that the dress is not too short, so you don't appear stumpy.
Do you have very large breasts?
Go for a dress with a simple cut that drapes nicely. The material is important. A-line, halterneck, or empire cut works very well. Counterbalance the breasts by highlighting the legs - choose a length just above the knees.
